Friendswood ISD invites students, families, staff, alumni, and community members to kick off the 2026-2027 school year at the 10th Annual Under the Oaks Community Pep Rally on Thursday, August 13, from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Friendswood Schools Museum, located at 208 W. Spreading Oaks Avenue, Friendswood, TX 77546.

This beloved Friendswood tradition brings the community together to celebrate the start of a new school year and showcase Mustang pride before students return to campus.

Attendees can enjoy an evening of community fellowship, school spirit, and family-friendly activities, including performances by the Friendswood High School Cheerleaders, Wranglerettes, and Drumline.

Guests will also have the opportunity to visit booths hosted by campus PTOs, the Friendswood ISD Education Foundation, the City of Friendswood, and other community partners while enjoying fresh kettle corn and connecting with fellow Mustangs.

Now in its 10th year, Under the Oaks has become a signature event that reflects the strong partnership between Friendswood ISD and the community it serves.
