Counselor

I am ready to grow alongside your child while helping to meet their social, emotional, physical and academic needs.

As the School Counselor I will be working with students to build character through Character Education and on their social development by focusing on Social Emotional Learning. I became an educator because I love kids and I love learning, but I became a counselor because I believe every kid deserves to feel loved and safe. I believe that kids learn best when they know they are loved and when they love being at a school. Building a safe and loving school family is my favorite part of my job!

During the school year, I will work with students individually, in small groups and in their classrooms. I am here to help your student be successful at school. If you have concerns or need assistance with resources please do not hesitate to reach out.

I received my Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas State University and my Master’s degree in Educational Psychology from Texas A&M.  Finding my calling in counseling has been one of the biggest blessings in my life. I love doing yoga and I’m certified to teach yoga in schools.

My family loves living in Friendswood and we are grateful to be part of such an amazing community. My son will be a student at FJH this year and loves FISD! On the weekends you can usually find us doing something outside or exploring something new in and around our community. We are so excited to be a part of this wonderful, supportive school district and cannot wait for what comes next.

I encourage you to reach out to me as concerns arise this school year.
